OPTIFLEX® CPM
The sleek design of the OptiFlex® CPM is therapeutically functional as well as appealing to the eye. Its extra wide carriage is designed to accommodate the typical knee patient, athletes and pediatric patients.
OptiFlex® features several new innovations, including:
• Progressive ROM – Designed to automatically increase the flexion ROM 5° per day until the programmed final flexion angle is attained.
• Oscillation Zone™ – This mode mimics a technique therapists use to increase the end ROM. When the programmed flexion angle is reached, the unit reverses direction toward the extension angle for 10°, then returns to the flexion angle. After repeating three times, it returns to the extension angle. The result: More time spent in the working ROM.
• Fast Back™ – The Fast Back™ mode moves rapidly through the "non-working" ROM at an increased speed. Increases in ROM occur in the
last 10°, so the majority of the time is spent going to and returning from that last 110°. Increasing the speed in the non-working range results in more time spent in the critical "working" ROM.
• Comfort Zone™ – When activated, the Comfort Zone™ button reverses direction and reduces the ROM by 5°, allowing the patient time to recover before going right back into painful ROM. After five cycles, the unit increases ROM toward the flexion angle by 1° per cycle.
